To express the unsophisticated thanks for harvest, farmers perform a lion dance on the ground of shrine.

萩の道 A Japanese bush clover path

松尾芭蕉が「奥の細道」の旅に出てから323年後、彼の歩いた奥州平泉中尊寺の月見坂をたどると萩の花が咲き始めており、道端に俳聖の像がひっそりと佇んでいた。

Tracing the travel of the famous ancient haiku poet, Basho, I also visited the Chusonji temple in Hiraizumi. A statue of Basho stands quietly by narrow path, and a Japanese bush clover flowering aside.

残暑 The after-heat of summer

「ララちゃん、今年はずーっと暑いし、それに残暑も厳しいから大分バテちゃったね」

「もう13歳（人間換算では70歳）だし、持病の心臓肥大もあるから --- この残暑をのりきれるかな」
「もうすぐ秋のお彼岸だから涼しくなるよ。頑張らなくちゃ」

Still the season turned to autumn in calendar, but it has been continued the hot weather. Lara’s health declines day by day in the after-heat of summer.

若稲穂 Head of unripe rice

・炎暑去り　稔りはじめた　稲穂かな　（素粒子）

The scorching heat of summer has been passed, and the head of rice is beginning to hang down. We will have a good harvest of rice this year.
